welcome

No dancing is an infrequent newsletter about art that takes its time. I’m Tony Inglis, a music journalist from Glasgow, and I’m fascinated by art that embraces slowness and how doing so can be a subversive act.

Yes, newsletters are so “I had nothing to do in lockdown” (and in the spirit of slowness, I actually decided to start doing this all the way back then), but this one will be a companion piece to my radio show on EHFM, also called no dancing, playing and talking about music that is slow.

if you subscribe (please do!) you’ll get updates on new episodes of the radio show, longform essays, stray thoughts, some dumb ideas I have, and more - I’m sure you’ll agree - inspired writing.
